The Dragonfly Yoga DUBLIN Teacher Training Program is a 6-month, comprehensive 200-hour curriculum, registered with Yoga Alliance. This 200- hour training includes: daily home practice and meditation, practical anatomy, philosophy, intuitive sequencing, finding your voice as a teacher, practice teaching, interpersonal work, and alignment principles. You will dive into asana - the physical poses ; learn basic Pranayama breathing techniques; explore sacred texts such as the Yoga Sutras, and the Bhagavad Gita; develop your authentic teaching voice and technique; learn the anatomy of the Chakras, Nadis, Koshas, and Vayus; live through the 8 Limbs of Yoga, learn about prenatal yoga, yin yoga , restorative yoga and yoga therapy.
These skills will deepen as the Teacher Training Program expands with lessons based in: teaching methodology; instructing with clarity, confidence and accuracy; learning the energetic and biomechanical principles of vinyasa yoga; intelligent sequencing; use of music and language to create a truly inspiring vinyasa class; verbal and hands-on adjustments; risk and injury management; anatomy and its relationship to yoga asana and the subtle body; history of yoga and philosophy.
The training will be taught and led by Gloria Capron (former owner of the Yoga Co), Stacy McGinty(owner of Dragonfly Yoga Dublin) and Guest Instructors. We will meet 2 weekends a month for 6 months.
Our program includes a weekend retreat at the beautiful and serene Land of Medicine Buddha in Soquel. You will immerse yourself into the asana and philosophy of yoga. We'll practice, meditate, enjoy healthy vegetarian food, and soak in the gifts of nature in a lovely and peaceful setting.
